Natia frowned at her reflection in the full length mirror.  Her burgundy robes would not do for a date, she really only reserved them for teaching and formal ceremonies anyway.  But she really was not sure what to wear.  She had pulled out multiple outfits from her wardrobe, but nothing felt quite right.  Now she stood frowning at herself as she studied her figure.  Natia was wearing an incredibly short black skirt and a vibrantly red bandeau covered with a low cut black lace top that nicely displayed her cleavage.  Her long chestnut hair was gathered up in a messy high pony tail, allowing a few soft tendrils of curled hair to fall to the side of her face, which she had carefully made up so that her lips were painted bright red and her lashes were long and lush while the rest of her make-up looked natural, allowing focus to fall on only the features she wanted most highlighted.  She wore high heeled black boots up to her knees that elongated her legs. She looked dangerously alluring.  Her date did say he wanted excitement, and, at first, Natia had thought she understood.  After a bit of asking around, she determined her date's idea of excitement was a little bit different. Now she frowned, disappointed with the outfit.
"So, he just looking for some fun," she murmured, dismissing her reflection with a wave of her hand as she turned to once more consider the articles of clothing she laid out on the bed. "Nothing sensual, though."
In a way, Natia was mildly relieved.  Profayne Knight was chosen as her date, and he seemed to be a rather nice guy.  He was only two years her junior, and, in spite of his background, a generally decent individual.  Natia,  even though she was half-succubus, was not terribly good at being sexual.  If anything, while she could look the part, she was awkward and shy around those she was attracted to, making dating daunting at best.  Since the Judas debacle,  Natia had tried dating twice, but both times her dates where only after one thing, thinking that sleeping with a half-succubus would be worth some bragging rights.  Neither date got very far, for Natia became shy and self-conscious, killing the mood quickly.  Neither guy spoke to her again after the date.  It had stung, and Natia stopped looking for dates after that, not that offers were exactly flooding in after word got about that Natia wasn't an easy lay.  Perhaps, should sex have been nearly as important to her, she could have entered the minds of her dates and blinded them to her awkwardness, but she did not feel it was worth the extra effort with anyone who only wanted to be with her to please mere carnal desires.  It seemed her Valentine's date wasn't looking to satisfy anything more carnal than perhaps the need to eat, and Natia found that fine.
"Maybe this date is exactly what I needed," she said beginning to undress.  "A low pressure date,  nothing sexual to worry about.  This could be good for me."
She regarded her reflection once more, smiling slightly at what she saw as she stood there in her lacy bra and panties.  She marveled at her curves, pleased with the sight she presented.  As far as under things went, Natia had a wide array of colors and designs,  partially due to her mother's short lived attempt to turn Natia into a succubus slut, and partially due to Natia's need to offset the rather sexually charged wardrobe her mother was trying to force upon her.  While Natia no longer mourned her mother turning her back on her, she did find she missed the gifts of lingerie.  Still, Natia chuckled that of all the options of under things she had to her avail, she had opted for a white, lacy set with a tiny pink bow on the top of the panties.  Something inside her wanted to be ready, just in case, but at the same time wanted to wear something more sweet than slutty.
"No matter what I'll wear on the outside, my underwear will speak volumes about me." She rolled her eyes.  "If he even sees them."
She returned to getting dressed, tugging on a sundress with itty-bitty flowers printed on the fabric and added a set of crocheted off white flats.  She quickly changed her hair into two long pigtails and tied them off with dainty little pink ribbons, and reapplied her make up to look a bit more clean and natural.  She glanced at her reflection in the mirror and immediately scoffed.
"Not happening, I'll just give him cavities looking like this.  And he'd probably think I'd be too boring or innocent to be any fun."
Natia frowned.  She had been hoping for a traditional date, something with a picnic, star gazing, a romantic cuddle by the fireplace...anything rather girlish.  Honestly, she would just be happy if the date just ended with a sweet good-night kiss.  But, after seeing what her date wanted, and reminding herself it was a first date, perhaps an only date, she did not think her hopes were really fair.  Her requests would be more appropriate if they knew each other better, but this would be the first time they really met.  She decided to do her best to give him what he was hoping for without trying to sneak in her own requests, feeling his requests were designed for both of them to have a good time with no pressure.
Natia undressed again, and stood staring at the clothing on her bed for a long while before selecting a few articles of clothing and redressing.  She then loosened her hair and restyled it, before finally selecting a simple silver bangle bracelet set and a matching necklace with three small rings settling loosely on the base of the chain.  She cast a basic weather charm on the bracelet to keep the temperature around them at a comfortable level for the date.
Turning to the mirror, Natia smiled.
"Yes, this is much better."
******
Natia stood by the fountain, nervously waiting for Fayne to meet her.  Sitting on the edge of the stone fountain were a wicker basket of street snacks Natia prepared, a small gift bag with pink and red paper hearts affixed to it, and folded green blanket.
She turned to check her reflection in the fountain.  She had loosely braided her long, chestnut hair and tied it off with a small cream colored ribbon.  She had left her make-up looking clean and natural, with only a slight hint of blush on her cheeks and a clear gloss on her lips.  She thumbed the silver necklace sitting loosely around her  clavicle nervously, hoping Fayne would not be disappointed in their date.
A soft tap on her shoulder startled her, and she spun around to see Fayne standing there.
"Ignatia?" He asked, and she could see he was taking in her choice of outfit.
"Profayne! Uh--I mean, Fayne," she stammered in a slightly higher pitch than normal, suddenly more nervous than ever, feeling her cheeks grow hot and her heart beginning to hammer in her chest. Her palms began to sweat.  She pushed an errant strand of hair behind her ear, looking up into his dark eyes.  Along with her sliver jewelry, she wore a cream colored chemise beneath the black lace top from her mother. Her blue jeans were slightly faded and accented her shapely legs nicely, and Natia had threaded another set of cream and pink colored ribbons through the belt loops of the jeans as a slightly romantic touch. On her feet were a pair of black flats, keeping the activities she planned in mind when she choose them.  She had thought it was the perfect outfit when she first set out to meet Fayne for their date, but now she wondered if he liked it, or if he even liked her. "H-hello!"
" Hello, yourself," he said in a rather upbeat tone, a charming smile playing on his face.  He ran a hand through his white hair and left his hand resting on the back of his head as he looked her over, giving Natia a moment to do the same.  Fayne wore well fitting black jeans and a white shirt with a scoop neck that just showed his collar bone and sent Natia's heart aflutter once more.  At his waist was a red belt with a heart shaped buckle, which Natia found sweetly playful.  "You look cute! Didn't get all fancy for me, did you?"
Natia's blush deepened and she quickly cast her eyes down, trying to regain some semblance of composure, wanting to try to behave like the perfect date for Fayne.  She tried to slow her breathing, and glanced up slowly, batting her eyes at him, once, twice.
"Oh, this?" she cooed as coyly as possible, gesturing casually to her outfit, and batting her eyes once more.  She felt suddenly fake and forced, like she had been around Judas before everything blew up in her face.  She didn't want to be that way toward Fayne, he was a nice guy and deserved better.  She deserved better, too.  She just hoped he would not hate the real Natia as much as Judas hated Natia's phony, sexually driven self.  She sighed softly, her shoulders dropping slightly .  She returned her gaze to meet his, a soft smile on her face, nibbling on her lower lip in her nervousness. "Yeah, maybe a little.  You look nice, too."
"Oh!" She exclaimed, remembering the gift bag she had left on the edge of the fountain.  She spun around to get it, nearly knocking it into the fountain in her eagerness to present it to Fayne.  She made a desperate lunge for it and caught the edge of the bag just before it could topple into the water.  A twitter of a giggle escaped her as she turned to give Fayne the gifts. "I hope you like it.  They are just some things I thought you'd like."
"Thanks!" He said with a grin, accepting the gift.  Inside were a set of Rook playing cards, a couple travel board games which opened to full size because of a charm Natia had cast on them, and a small box of handmade, spiced, dark chocolates. His smile broadened when he peered inside.  "Wow, you went all out! Thanks a lot!"
Fayne reached into his back pocket, producing a small box which he presented to Natia.  She eagerly accepted, slightly surprised even though everyone was asked to suggest some gifts they hoped for as part of this Valentine's Day event.  She would be happy to get any gift really, but she made some suggestions of things she would like to receive to help her potential date.  She realized that the size of the box was not quite right for the gifts she suggested, so she was getting a true surprise and she found this exciting.  Natia opened the box with baited breath. Inside were a beautiful bracelet, full of white opals and blue topaz, and a white collar with little blue gemstones spaced out evenly along it.  Natia gasped as she looked inside the box and gingerly picked up the bracelet, holding it up to catch the light, marveling at its beauty.
"It's so beautiful, I love it!"  She put the bracelet on, pausing a moment longer to admire it on her wrist. Then she remembered the collar and pulled it out, a bit puzzled, wondering if there was something about her usual attire that she needed to rethink.  "It is a really nice collar, but I'm not sure my neck is quite that slender. Uh...but it does match the bracelet wonderfully, and I do really like it. Thank you so much, the gifts are lovely!"
Fayne chuckled, a wide grin erupting at Natia's reaction to her gifts.
"The collar's for the kitten," he explained, his grin slowly fading into an expression more of concern.  "You did ask for a kitten, right?  I left it at my dorm, I didn't think it would be fun to be keeping track of it through the whole date." He grimaced slightly, looking uncertain. "That's okay, right?"
Natia's jaw dropped as her hands flew to her face, eyes widening.  A slow smile began to grow on her face, an elated squeal bursting forth from her as she embraced Fayne happily. A moment later she realized what she did, and she pulled away sheepishly. Pushing the ever errant strand of hair back behind her ear again, she grinned shyly.
" S-sorry about that, I'm just so happy to have a kitten! I kind of didn't think I'd get a kitten, I sort of thought it was like a kid asking for a pony. But I am so glad I was wrong! Thank you!"  She blushed.  "I'm gushing, sorry. I'm just so happy, thank you. And-" She cast a glance over her shoulder at the blanket, realizing how right Fayne was.  "I think you are right, the kitten probably would prefer your room to joining in our date."
She gestured to the blanket and basket still sitting on the edge of the fountain.
"I have a little fun planned. I do hope you aren't afraid of heights."  She gathered the basket up on one arm and unfurled the blanket on the ground, gingerly stepping on it and placing the basket beside her. She gestured with one hand to the space on the other side of her.  "It should be perfectly safe, I've tried it a few times before."  She paused, concentrating as the blanket slowly rose half a foot off the ground and hovered there. Natia smiled and reached a hand out to Fayne. "Do you trust me?"
"I trust you implicitly," he says, taking her hand and climbed onto the blanket, a slight blush creeping over his cheek as he stepped up beside Natia.  "This is a brilliant idea for date, I don't know if I would have been able to come up with anything half as good."
She noticed the slight blush in Fayne's cheeks as he took her hand, and Natia smiled, realizing he might actually like her.  He was nice and good looking, and he might even like her.  Natia's heart soared as she gazed blissfully at Fayne as he settled in.  Then, in a panic that he may have noticed her checking him out, she ducked her head and cast her eyes away, feeling her face go full crimson and not wanting him to see her embarrassment.
"I...I'm so glad you like me...IT...I'm so glad you like it!" Natia cringed a little, then turned to smile at Fayne, giggling as if it were just a silly misspeak, and, to her horror, she was unable to stop.  "I..hee,hee, hee...can't believe I said that. Hee, hee, hee...That was so silly of me. Ha, ha, ha!"  She spun away so quickly she nearly fell of the blanket, just barely able to regain her balance. "Oh, Hell, he's going to think I'm a total spaz!" She muttered under her breath.  She suddenly remembered they were on a levitating blanket as if she had forgotten what they were doing, then, a bit to cheerily, spoke again.  "WHYDON'TWEGETSTARTED! Ha, ha, ha..."
"You know, you might have misspoken but at least it was still the truth." Fayne said, his amused grin fading into a hint of crimson on his face. He cleared his throat and gestured to the blanket they stood on.  "Um...Anyway, I'm ready when you are!"
Natia nodded and focused her attention on the levitating blanket, not quite realizing what Fayne had just said.  As the blanket rose and began to soar, the realization hit her at last.  She turned slightly, her hands out just enough to help her maintain her balance. She instinctively swiped back a lock of hair that had not yet fallen forward into her face.  She looked at Fayne bashfully, trying to find her voice.  "I-," she said, hesitating for a brief moment, her voice soft. "I like you, too."
The blanket soared higher, now just above the castle, and began to slowly level out and circle above the campus.
"I-uh...just wanted to show you...uh...I just find it quiet up here.  I thought you might like to see the academy from here.  It's kind of cool." Natia cleared her throat, unable to take her eyes off Fayne.  "I...I thought you might want to have a snack, so I have some food in the basket we can share. Then we...uh, we can do some maneuvers.  I have gotten good with barrel rolls recently."
Ignatia Kalpana's mind was far from barrel rolls as she looked up into the eyes of her date.
"Barrel rolls, huh?" Fayne asked as he stared out over the castle.  A sad smile touched his face as a light breeze wafted over them, tousling their hair.  For a moment he looked as though he was longing for something, then he cast a glance back to Natia. He reached out to tuck some loose hair behind her ear.  "Does it bother you that I'm a student?" He grimaced as if the words had pained him. "You know, not because I'm like bothered that you're a teacher, I mean, I kind of was, but I'm not now and- I'm just going to..." He grabbed one of the spicy falafel from the basket and shoved it in his mouth, silencing his words as he seemed to look everywhere but back at Natia.
Natia frowned, her shoulders dropping as she, too, turned away, wistfully gazing down at the school's grounds, then out over the horizon.  She sighed.
"It's funny, just last year I was a student, and, if we did this last year, we wouldn't even be talking about this.  I suppose it is good that we do talk about it." She tried to smile, but it was forced at best, and Natia looked more pained than happy.  "Razik is a professor, too, and I was actually one of his students, and he's doing this dating event.  So, I guess the academy has no issues with it." She stole a glance over to Fayne, then returned her gaze over the horizon. "And we are both of age, so that makes it alright.  and you aren't actually in any of my courses.  I did give it a bit of thought... and, after realizing all that, I decided this was okay."  She glanced back at Fayne, lightly touching his hand with her fingertips.  A soft smile emerged on her lips, this time it was sincere and natural.  "I... I don't know what you see happening for us after tonight, but if my being a teacher is too... awkward... well, I would not want to make you uncomfortable and I would understand.  But, if you want to still see me... after tonight...I would like... to see you more, too."  Suddenly, worried that she had perhaps been to brazen, she slowly pulled her hand back.  She picked up a hot wing from the basket, pretending to be interested in it.  She spoke again, as if speaking to the chicken wing.  "If you even want something like that."
Fayne tilted his head until he was looking her full in the face, his expression serious, causing Natia to lower her piece of chicken.
"Why would I want that?" He asked, shaking his head.  Natia dropped the chicken back into the basket without realizing it, wounded.  "I mean, come on, nobody wants a cute date that picks amazing gifts, and has amazing date ideas, and is okay with wasting them on students." His serious expression broke with a wide smile.  "Well, except me, of course." He took hold of one of Natia's hands, and her heart quickened as she gazed up at Fayne.  He brought her hand up to his mouth, kissing it gently.  He held her hand as he spoke.  "I'm not bothered about you being a teacher, I was just hoping you weren't."
A demure blush graced Natia's cheeks, happy to hear that he is not bothered by her position as a teacher, and overjoyed that he wanted to be with her. While all she wanted to do in this moment was grab Fayne and press her mouth firmly to his to award him with a rather feisty kiss for suddenly setting her passion ablaze with his tenderness, as such tenderness had never been shown to her before, Natia resisted. She did not want to risk letting too much of her succubus side control her actions, for she never wanted to become her mother. While she could let loose in the bedroom, whenever the time was right for that, she would still need to exercise control. Being only part succubus meant she actually could control that part of her nature, and she didn't want him to mistakenly think she was easy to bed by nearly assaulting him with kisses in this moment. But she so desperately wanted to kiss him, she so desperately wanted Fayne.  Don't mess this up, Natia. He is a great guy, so don't mess this up!  She held his hand in both of hers, standing on her the tips of her toes to kiss him, and momentarily wondered if kissing his cheek would make him think she was too shy. She softly pressed her mouth to the corner of his, giving Fayne a tender kiss, with just a hint that she wanted a bit more. "Thank you, Fayne. I am so happy that you like me. And I think you are one of the hot...uh, handsomest men I've ever met. And you are so nice, and charming...and perfect."  Her voice softened as she spoke, as if in a dream. Her heart was lighter than it had been in years because Fayne was kind and sincere. He treated her like a true gentleman would treat a lady, and for the first time she realized this was exactly what she wanted.  She had found a man who would actually care about being with her, and was not focused on what would happen between the sheets later. Natia nearly laughed aloud realizing the irony in that it made her want to take him to her bed.  "If it wasn't our first date, I'd probably ravish you with steamy kisses."  She blushed with this confession, realizing she was still on tip toe, leaning against him. She forced herself to pull away and stand on her own, not really wanting to.  "I...I've never felt quite like this about anyone before. I mean, I like it, and I'm glad that it is you who makes me feel this way. I just...never felt like this before. I..."  She could not take it, her last kiss wasn't what she wanted.  She pushed herself up on her tip toes once more, wrapped her arms around his neck, and pressed her mouth firmly to his in a long, passionate kiss. It was the kiss of a person who truly longed for passion and love, but was just reserved enough to be cautious and protect their heart. Natia pulled back, just slightly, leaving her lips mere inches from his. When she spoke, her voice was soft, slightly husky. "Thank you."
This is the evolving story for my part of the Valentine's date...updates to come. (This RP is still going! 0///.///0 )

Let's just say they are into each other and Natia is opening up, and there will be some aerial acrobatics on a flying blanket at some point.  Natia is still something of an unrealized tomboy at heart.  But right now she's feeling a bit passionate/shy/steamy/happy and kind of like a girl should on a V-day date.

For the Valentine's event for :iconotherworlde:.
