I made a Harry Potter fan OC, well now I have three, but this is the first. This is Samantha "Sammy" Dimal of Ravenclaw. She is 2 years behind the HP main cast. She tries to act optimistic to make friends, but due to her past, she really has a very pessimistic outlook on her own life. She was given up for adoption by muggle parents who could not afford to care for her while she was an infant but was never adopted. She ran away from one of her foster homes and lived by picking the pockets of tourists. Luckily this skill made her a great fit for the Ravenclaw Quidditch seeker. She enjoys Herbology and Divination and is secretly working on creating new charms, her first success being the creation of the Stone of Strength, which she always keeps in her pocket. Despite her successes, she has low self-esteem and it too unsure of herself to show anyone her skill in creating charms.

Her wand is Holly/Ebony with the enchantment of Essence of Phoenix Feather.

Her closest friend is Aggie Wingate of Slytherin. Aggie is a free spirit and calls Samantha "Sammy". They often play harmless pranks on other students. Samantha looks up to the Weasley twins legacy as pranksters and aspires to one day be as good as they were. (Aggie can be found here: fav.me/d79j888 )

She is friendly with Hermione Granger, but not particularly close as they are two years apart. She is indifferent about Ron Weasley because she has never been around him long enough to know him, but figures he is probably OK as he is the younger brother of her idols. She does not like Harry Potter just because he is held in such high regard as the "Chosen One" and she feels his surviving Voldomort's attack is the only reason and does not feel he actually has the skills people believe he has (yes, she is a little jealous). After the fall of Voldomort she changes her mind about Harry and is OK with him, but they do not become close as part of her still blames him for Aggie's death during the final battle although she does not speak of it while at Hogwarts.

Sammy marries a Gryffindor from her year by the name of Edward Langdon (another OC from the Contingency). In later years, her son Fred (yes, named after a certain Weasley) marries Lily Potter, the daughter of Harry and Ginny. As a result she eventually airs out her feelings with Harry and is surprised when he apologizes for his role in Aggie's death, even though both know it wasn't truly his fault. It is enough for Samantha to finally move on and accept Harry as a real friend.

A few years later the two families share their first grandchild, a girl named Samantha Molly Langdon. While young Samantha is at Hogwarts, she excitedly writes to her parents that both sets of her grandparents are being taught about in her classes, a thing that surprises the older Samantha for she never thought that what she did in establishing the Contingency was as important as it became. She is happy to know that something she did was indeed meaningful to the magical community.

A little later, Samantha and her husband, Edward, leave the muggle world to live closer to Hogwarts because Samantha accepts a position as the professor of the Magical Charms class.
